Shipping and Declaration
How to Ensure Your Samples Arrive Safely and Correctly

To make sure your samples can be analyzed quickly and without delay, correct shipping and declaration – especially from non-EU countries – is essential. On this page you will find all key information on customs clearance, specific requirements for animal-derived products, and the declaration of botanical samples.

General Guidelines for International Shipments
  • On the proforma invoice, indicate a symbolic value (e.g., USD 1).
  • Add the note: “Nonhazardous sample – for analytical use only.”
  • Attach a copy of the proforma invoice and the waybill to the outside of the package.
  • Ship different matrices in separate packages, each with its own declaration and customs tariff code.

Animal-Derived Samples – Shipping and Declaration

For animal-based samples (e.g., krill oil, milk, eggs), an official veterinary inspection at the EU border is required according to EU Regulation 2021/632/EC. This involves additional costs, which we must pass on to you.
Incorrect or missing declaration may lead to rejection or delays of your shipment.

  • proof of ≥ 80 °C core temperature
  • company stamp and signature
  • issued on official company letterhead
